David Badcock

Born in 1975 in Cambridge, David lived in Bristol, Papua New Guinea and Newmarket before returning to his roots twelve years later.

Completing his A-Levels at Newmarket Upper School, David secured his first full time job as a debtors invoice clerk at Addenbrooke’s NHS Trust in 1994, where he also studied as a certified accountant (CIMA).

Having spent 3 years working within the NHS, he then moved to the private sector with Johnson Matthey as Assistant Financial Accountant.

Suffering from a very early mid-career crisis, David then spent a ski-season in Chamonix in 2000/01, before returning to Cambridge and took up his first appointment within the charitable sector at the Cambridge Ethnic Community Forum.  As the Finance and Projects manager he helped develop the structure and new projects for this small organisation.

In 2005 David then moved to his current organisation in central London working for Mainliners.  As the Director of Finance, he was tasked with restructuring the organisation due to a critical financial situation.  Following the retirement of the Chief Executive Officer, he then progressed to this role in November 2006.

In his spare time David is a keen runner, as well as playing hockey, football and snowboarding
