The town has good road and rail connections from London airports and the South East as well as from Birmingham to the north of the country and Bristol in the south-west.

Travel to Cheltenham by road

Cheltenham is situated at junctions 10, 11 and 11a of the M5 within the main motorway network.

Travel to Cheltenham by train

The main railway station is Cheltenham Spa which is is well served by InterCity and British Rail Regional Railways, including direct services from London Paddington, Bristol, Birmingham, Swindon, Cardiff, Plymouth, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Glasgow. 

Travel to Cheltenham by plane

Birmingham International and Bristol Airports are both less than 50 miles from Cheltenham with easy road access.

London Heathrow is further way, about 86 miles from Cheltenham. It is around a 2 hour drive from Heathrow to Cheltenham. National Express run a regular direct coach service from London Heathrow. There is also a rail/bus link from Heathrow via Reading.

By car
